Dunhill: Chestnut (3406) (2016) Tobacco Pipe
Product Number: 002-015-6363
The stummel of this pipe represents Dunhill's "06" Pot rendition, characterized by a traditional broad and squat bowl, but the "4" in the nomenclature denotes The White Spot's slightly elongated, subtly downturned stem version, lending this pipe an elegant, Prince-line gesture in profile. Such svelte lines soften the otherwise muscular disposition inherent to the Pot, and it's dressed in the deep, dark, smooth finish and fitted to the cumberland stem of the Chestnut line.
A sibling to the Cumberland, Dunhill's Chestnut finish was inaugurated in 1983 to commemorate the closing of the Cumberland Rd. warehouse for which the Cumberland finish was named. Like the Cumberland, pipes in the Chestnut line wear the same dark, smoky stain and are fitted to stems of cumberland but feature a silky smooth, glossy finish compared to the Cumberland's rugged sandblast.
