Dunhill: Chestnut (4103) (2022) Tobacco Pipe

Considered by many to be the archetypal Billiard, Dunhill's "03" design personifies classic English shaping standards: The proportions between bowl and shank are balanced and natural, with this Group 4 rendition offering a slightly more robust disposition. Pert and upright, it sits sturdily upon the flattened, smooth underside, while the rest of the stummel wears the Chestnut line's cumberland stem and deep, smoky, smooth stain.
A sibling to the Cumberland, Dunhill's Chestnut finish was inaugurated in 1983 to commemorate the closing of the Cumberland Rd. warehouse for which the Cumberland finish was named. Like the Cumberland, pipes in the Chestnut line wear the same dark, smoky stain and are fitted to stems of cumberland but feature a silky smooth, glossy finish compared to the Cumberland's rugged sandblast.
