Dunhill: Chestnut (4114) (2019) Tobacco Pipe

Product Number: 002-015-6367

This "14" bent Dublin from Dunhill offers flowing lines and a sinuous profile in muscular Group 4 proportions. Flared at the rim, the bowl possesses a sweeping heel that carries momentum into the upturned shank and arcing tapered stem. The shank-and-stem arrangement strikes a willowy S-curve that promotes a comfortable smoking posture while also providing the composition with a nice bit of curvature. The smoky Chestnut finish accentuates the dense fields of birdseye on either flank of the bowl for plenty of visual appeal.

A sibling to the Cumberland, Dunhill's Chestnut finish was inaugurated in 1983 to commemorate the closing of the Cumberland Rd. warehouse for which the Cumberland finish was named. Like the Cumberland, pipes in the Chestnut line wear the same dark, smoky stain and are fitted to stems of cumberland but feature a silky smooth, glossy finish compared to the Cumberland's rugged sandblast.
