Dunhill: Root Briar (4104) (2017) Tobacco Pipe

Product Number: 002-015-6379

Overall, this is a fairly traditional representation of Dunhill's "04" Bulldog. The shank is diamond of cross section, and the taller style of bowl is wrapped by the design's characteristic beadlines. The stem, however, is bent horizontally at about a 45 degree angle. Dunhill releases the novel feature every so often, but its very seldom that we see this feature paired to an "04" Bulldog, with this piece further commended by a military mount of jet-black vulcanite. This pipe is further commended by Dunhill's warm Root Briar finish, its smooth stain representative of a pipe possessing fantastic grain.

The highest honor for a Dunhill pipe is to receive the prestigious Root Briar appellation. Root Briars have been coveted by pipe smokers ever since they first debuted in 1931, due to the fact that each pipe must boast briar completely free of even the most minor of blemishes. Dunhill has the strictest of standards and expectations for quality with all of their pipes, and so any block of briar that comes to bear the Root Briar stamp must indeed be superlative.
