Dunhill: County (4645) (2021) Tobacco Pipe
Product Number: 002-015-6519
Referred to as the "Don" shape, Dunhill's "45" design is a specific rendition of the Poker that has gained a considerable following over the decades. Like the traditional Poker, Dunhill's Don features a slightly canted, cylindrical, and sturdy-sitting bowl with a raised transition, though its shank is abbreviated nearly to the point of being absent. In addition, the stem of the Don is longer and slightly bent, fitting military-mount-style into the trim shank and allowing it to be taken apart at any time, even when hot. The collectible shape is found here with the ruddy sandblast and cumberland stem of the County series.
Like the Cumberland finish, Dunhill's County line pairs rich, cumberland stems with delightfully textured sandblasts. Typically, County pieces wear a lighter stain, often falling between the Cumberland and Tanshell hues, and since its introduction in 1986, with only a brief hiatus, the County remains stalwart within Dunhill's portfolio, especially desired by lovers of brindled vulcanite and warm sandblasts.
