Dunhill: Dress (4112) (2022) Tobacco Pipe

Product Number: 002-015-6671

Dunhill's "12" Stack is an older design from the historic marque that demonstrates how shapes can gradually evolve and change over time. In an earlier form it was the basis of one of the "windshield" pipe designs that Alfred Dunhill once marketed as ideal for automobile drivers. This Group 4 offering is a more classically inclined rendition of the shape, adding a bit more stoutness as well as an overall increase in scale and chamber to the form when compared to Group 2 and 3 versions.

One of the most fashionable finishes in all of pipe making and one that inspired an entire aesthetic, Dunhill's Dress finish was first introduced in 1973 and is meant to elegantly complement a tuxedo or similar formal wear, perfect for a night on the town. Characterized by its glossy, jet-black stain and sterling silver accent band, the Dress finish exudes class and imbues each pipe it adorns with a sense of refinement and sophistication. It's the progenitor of the term "dress pipe," now used to reference any black-and-silver pipe, and is one of the most distinctive finishes in all of pipedom.
