Dunhill: Root Briar (4412) (2022) Tobacco Pipe
Product Number: 002-015-6713
The "12" shape is one of Dunhill's more interesting configurations. Though displaying a tall Billiard bowl of Stack-like proportions, in profile, the design is quite balanced, matching that visual weight of the bowl with a subtly downturned stem that really works to balance out the composition. Here we see the unique briar presented in Group 4 proportions, lending even more depth to the chamber. This piece is further ennobles by its coveted Root Briar designation, reserved for Dunhill's finest work.
The highest honor for a Dunhill pipe is to receive the prestigious Root Briar appellation. Root Briars have been coveted by pipe smokers ever since they first debuted in 1931, due to the fact that each pipe must boast briar completely free of even the most minor of blemishes. Dunhill has the strictest of standards and expectations for quality with all of their pipes, and so any block of briar that comes to bear the Root Briar stamp must indeed be superlative.
