This "01" Apple by Dunhill is presented in Group 5 size, giving the iconic shape-chart standard pipe generous proportions. The cumberland tapered stem stretches to a substantial bit, ensuring comfortable clenching for a weightier pipe. The plump Apple bowl and thick shank provide an expansive, dynamic canvas for the craggy County sandblast that coats the stummel, save the Dunhill stamps and trim rim, which are dressed in a smooth finish.
Like the Cumberland finish, Dunhill's County line pairs rich, cumberland stems with delightfully textured sandblasts. Typically, County pieces wear a lighter stain, often falling between the Cumberland and Tanshell hues, and since its introduction in 1986, with only a brief hiatus, the County remains stalwart within Dunhill's portfolio, especially desired by lovers of brindled vulcanite and warm sandblasts.
