Usually, Dunhill's "01" shape is a classic straight Apple, and while the stummel of this pipe adheres to that traditional form, it's fitted to a slightly bent stem — as designated by the "4" in the shape stamp. We've seen such renditions of the "01" before, and they're typically on the larger end of the English marque's size spectrum, with this one representing Group 6 proportions and Dunhill's largest standard size. That size makes for a palm-filling pipe that suits the robust curves of the Apple shape well, while the slightly bent stem balances the form out for a more comfortable smoking posture.
