Dunhill: Chestnut (3101) (2014) Tobacco Pipe
Product Number: 002-015-6845
Dunhill's "01" Apple is a consummately English design, the blueprint from which all Apples are ultimately derived. Rendered here in sleek Group 3 proportions, the pert bowl rests on a soft heel at the fore of a balanced round shank fitted to a tapered stem. Dressed in Dunhill's Chestnut finish, the smooth stummel boasts fine grain around the bowl, stained a rich brown hue that perfectly complements the black and ochre brindled stem.
A sibling to the Cumberland, Dunhill's Chestnut finish was inaugurated in 1983 to commemorate the closing of the Cumberland Rd. warehouse for which the Cumberland finish was named. Like the Cumberland, pipes in the Chestnut line wear the same dark, smoky stain and are fitted to stems of cumberland but feature a silky smooth, glossy finish compared to the Cumberland's rugged sandblast.-Gabriel Bass
