Dunhill: Shell Briar (3107) (2021) Tobacco Pipe

Product Number: 002-015-6864

Fitted to a straight stem, Dunhill's "07" Prince is lent an even sleeker, more regal form than its gently bent brethren. Rendered in Group 3 size, this interpretation takes on an especially svelte nature, being streamlined through the shank and elongated stem while the bulb-like bowl is perched at the end. Offered here in the Shell Briar series, this one is dressed in a tasteful sandblast and all-black color palette.

The Shell Briar's addition to the Dunhill catalog was a pivotal moment in pipe-smoking history. Before 1917, pipes with sandblasted finishes had never been made, and Alfred Dunhill's innovative mind created arguably the most popular finish for pipes today when he unveiled the Shell Briar. With its dark, reserved color palette and delightful texture, it's no surprise that it's still wildly popular over a century later.
