Dunhill: Chestnut (4110) (2019) Tobacco Pipe

On Dunhill's shape chart, the "10" can designate either a Liverpool or a Bing's Favorite style of Billiard, with this Group 4 rendition representing the former. The Liverpool shape offers a slight revision to the classic Canadian, forgoing the ovoid shank for a cylindrical one, giving it a similar profile to an archetypal Billiard. However, the elongated shank and abbreviated tapered stem imbue this pipe with a sleek aura, which elegantly complements the supple contours of the Billiard bowl. Dressed here in the rich Chestnut finish, this "10" exudes a timeless appeal.

A sibling to the Cumberland, Dunhill's Chestnut finish was inaugurated in 1983 to commemorate the closing of the Cumberland Rd. warehouse for which the Cumberland finish was named. Like the Cumberland, pipes in the Chestnut line wear the same dark, smoky stain and are fitted to stems of cumberland but feature a silky smooth, glossy finish compared to the Cumberland's rugged sandblast.
