Dunhill: Chestnut (4101) (2013) Tobacco Pipe
Product Number: 002-015-6981
Simple and neat, with no need for adornments, this "01" classic Apple shape from Dunhill is eye-catching, its streamlined form rendered in Group 4 size. The bowl is pleasingly plump but not exaggerated, and it contains plenty of chamber capacity. Likewise, the round shank and elegantly tapered mouthpiece are a bit muscular, yet well balanced. Dressed in the Chestnut finish, this pipe showcases shadowy wisps of grain all over the stummel.
A sibling to the Cumberland, Dunhill's Chestnut finish was inaugurated in 1983 to commemorate the closing of the Cumberland Rd. warehouse for which the Cumberland finish was named. Like the Cumberland, pipes in the Chestnut line wear the same dark, smoky stain and are fitted to stems of cumberland but feature a silky smooth, glossy finish compared to the Cumberland's rugged sandblast.
