Dunhill: Chestnut (3204) (2021) Tobacco Pipe

A traditional, muscular design, Dunhill's "04" straight Bulldog is rendered here in Group 4 size, though it is remarkably lightweight and compact. A smooth, tapering rim sits atop a pair of crisp bealines, the forward-urging bowl resting on a pronounced heel, paired to the form's characteristic, firm-lined diamond shank. The stummel is dressed in the English marque's smoky Chestnut finish, its warm, deep stain showcasing handsome grain and matching the cumberland stem well.
A sibling to the Cumberland, Dunhill's Chestnut finish was inaugurated in 1983 to commemorate the closing of the Cumberland Rd. warehouse for which the Cumberland finish was named. Like the Cumberland, pipes in the Chestnut line wear the same dark, smoky stain and are fitted to stems of cumberland but feature a silky smooth, glossy finish compared to the Cumberland's rugged sandblast.
