Dunhill: County (4103) (2017) Tobacco Pipe
Product Number: 002-015-7174
Though rendered in Group 4 size, this "03" Billiard by Dunhill boasts a particularly lithe shank-and-stem arrangement, one that stretches out from the low-set transition in a narrow line, keeping the aft side of the composition looking sleek and gracile. Meanwhile, up front, the tall bowl tapers from its wide heel to its taut rim, and as it does, it produces a low-set waistline that conforms naturally to the hand. The shape is dressed here in the rustic County finish, which coaxes out lively grain across the bowl and shank alike.
Like the Cumberland finish, Dunhill's County line pairs rich, cumberland stems with delightfully textured sandblasts. Typically, County pieces wear a lighter stain, often falling between the Cumberland and Tanshell hues, and since its introduction in 1986, with only a brief hiatus, the County remains stalwart within Dunhill's portfolio, especially desired by lovers of brindled vulcanite and warm sandblasts.
