Dunhill: County (5112) (2022) Tobacco Pipe
Product Number: 002-015-7181
The "12" Stack from Dunhill is an old shape: In an earlier form it was the basis of one of the "windshield" pipe designs that Alfred Dunhill himself once marketed as ideal for automobile drivers. This Group 5 version is a more traditional rendition of the shape and perfect for those who appreciate hearty chamber, adding a bit of stoutness as well as overall increase in scale and chamber to the form when compared to Group 3 and 4 versions. The shank and stem here are especially sleek compared to the bowl, placing much of the visual weight at the fore, while the wide transition leaves plenty of room to drape a digit.
Like the Cumberland finish, Dunhill's County line pairs rich, cumberland stems with delightfully textured sandblasts. Typically, County pieces wear a lighter stain, often falling between the Cumberland and Tanshell hues, and since its introduction in 1986, with only a brief hiatus, the County remains stalwart within Dunhill's portfolio, especially desired by lovers of brindled vulcanite and warm sandblasts.
