Dunhill: Chestnut (5103F) (2022) (9mm) Tobacco Pipe

One of Dunhill's rarer iterations of their "03" Billiard, this Group 5 offering has been drilled to accommodate a 9mm filter. It maintains the iconic form's traditional proportions and stolid presence, with perhaps a touch of added muscularity to the shank to house the filter. An archetypal rendition shape-wise, this is the perfect pipe for those drawn to Dunhill's prestige and shaping style but who also prefer filtered pipes.
A sibling to the Cumberland, Dunhill's Chestnut finish was inaugurated in 1983 to commemorate the closing of the Cumberland Rd. warehouse for which the Cumberland finish was named. Like the Cumberland, pipes in the Chestnut line wear the same dark, smoky stain and are fitted to stems of cumberland but feature a silky smooth, glossy finish compared to the Cumberland's rugged sandblast.
