Dunhill: Bruyere (4107F) (2020) (9mm) Tobacco Pipe

Fitted to a straight stem, Dunhill's "07" Prince is lent an even sleeker, more regal form than its gently bent brethren. Rendered in Group 4 size, this interpretation takes on an especially svelte nature, being streamlined through the shank and elongated stem while the bulb-like bowl is perched at the end. Offered here in the smoky hues of the Bruyere series, this one is dressed in a tasteful stain and paired to a svelte stem of vulcanite. Additionally, this piece is drilled to accommodate a 9mm filter, as denoted by its "F" stamp.

The Bruyere was Alfred Dunhill's original finish upon launching his brand of premium pipes and smoking accessories and was the only Dunhill finish from 1910 until 1917. Even after the addition of other finishes, the Bruyere maintained a high level of popularity, becoming synonymous with what is thought of, even today, as the quintessential pipe. To achieve the iconic, ruby hue and saturation, a skilled craftsman painstakingly layers particular stains in a precise manner, then meticulously polishes the pipe to a high luster. The final result is, simply put, timeless.
