Dunhill: Bruyere with Silver (5120) (2019) Tobacco Pipe

Product Number: 002-015-7320

Similar to the "22" Poker, Dunhill's "20" Cherrywood pairs a sure-sitting, cylindrical bowl to a low-set transition, with the primary difference being the addition of a gently bent stem. Such a design cue is reminiscent of the elegantly downturned stem of the Prince shape and serves to offer a greater sense of balance when clenched. It's found here in Group 5 proportions with the bowl displaying a hint of forward cant, and it's dressed in the handsome tones of Dunhill's Bruyere finish and accented with a silver band.

The Bruyere was Alfred Dunhill's original finish upon launching his brand of premium pipes and smoking accessories and was the only Dunhill finish from 1910 until 1917. Even after the addition of other finishes, the Bruyere maintained a high level of popularity, becoming synonymous with what is thought of, even today, as the quintessential pipe. To achieve the iconic, ruby hue and saturation, a skilled craftsman painstakingly layers particular stains in a precise manner, then meticulously polishes the pipe to a high luster. The final result is, simply put, timeless.
