Dunhill: Chestnut (3110) (2022) Tobacco Pipe
Product Number: 002-015-7401
Dunhill's "10" can take the shape of two different profiles, either a Bing's Favorite-style Billiard, or, in this case, a classic Liverpool. Presented in balanced Group 3 size, this pipe boasts the clean lines and measure proportions that Dunhill is known for, with a wide transition giving way to a sleek, cylindrical shank that's extended in its reach to a trim, tapering stem. This shank and stem combination do well to balance the presence of the bowl, with said bowl standing atop a rounded heel and offering a slight, comfortable bit of taper to the rim. The stummel is dressed in the rich, warm stain of the Chestnut series, showcasing handsome grain throughout its stummel.
A sibling to the Cumberland, Dunhill's Chestnut finish was inaugurated in 1983 to commemorate the closing of the Cumberland Rd. warehouse for which the Cumberland finish was named. Like the Cumberland, pipes in the Chestnut line wear the same dark, smoky stain and are fitted to stems of cumberland but feature a silky smooth, glossy finish compared to the Cumberland's rugged sandblast.
