Dunhill: Shell Briar (2105) (2023) Tobacco Pipe
Product Number: 002-015-7449
Lean and svelte, this "05" Dublin from Dunhill is rendered in compact Group 2 size and features a poised, diminutive bowl displaying a slight forward cant and a subtle flare. Said bowl is paired to a trim, arrow-straight shank-and-stem arrangement, resulting in a lithe, slender profile. Elegant and travel-friendly, this gorgeous pipe is dressed in the dark Shell Briar sandblast.
The Shell Briar's addition to the Dunhill catalog was a pivotal moment in pipe smoking history. Before 1917, pipes with sandblasted finishes had never been made, and Alfred Dunhill's innovative mind created arguably the most popular finish for pipes today when he unveiled the Shell Briar. With its dark, reserved color palette and delightful texture, it's no surprise that it's still wildly popular over a century later.
