Dunhill: County (5202) (2016) Tobacco Pipe
Product Number: 002-015-7613
Dunhill's "02" bent Billiard is offered in pronounced Group 5 proportions here, making for a sweeping example of the shape with a beautiful S-curve in profile. The bowl is pert and forward canting, offering a touch of dynamic shaping to the composition, and it's been paired to a thick stretch of shank and stem for quite the muscular look. Said stem is a smartly curved stretch of saddle-oriented vulcanite that reaches out of the shank acrobatically for an easy smoking posture. Here it's presented in the always-fetching County finish, dressing the stummel in a crisp, earthy sandblast complemented well by a cumberland stem.
Like the Cumberland finish, Dunhill's County line pairs rich, cumberland stems with delightfully textured sandblasts. Typically, County pieces wear a lighter stain, often falling between the Cumberland and Tanshell hues, and since its introduction in 1986, with only a brief hiatus, the County remains stalwart within Dunhill's portfolio, especially desired by lovers of brindled vulcanite and warm sandblasts.
