Dunhill: County (3121) (2018) Tobacco Pipe
Product Number: 002-015-7661
Foregoing the Zulu's typically bent posture, this "21" piece from Dunhill is a more streamlined rendition. Rendered in modest Group 3 size, this Zulu from Dunhill features a pert, upright bowl posed at the fore, with its walls showing a reserved flare from heel to rim. Out back is an arrow-straight shank-and-stem arrangement, composed of a broad oval shank carrying a gradual taper into a slender stem, giving the composition an aerodynamic profile. Courtesy of Dunhill's County finish, the stummel wears a warm, earthy sandblast that accentuates the briar's natural grain.
Like the Cumberland finish, Dunhill's County line pairs rich, cumberland stems with delightfully textured sandblasts. Typically, County pieces wear a lighter stain, often falling between the Cumberland and Tanshell hues, and since its introduction in 1986, with only a brief hiatus, the County remains stalwart within Dunhill's portfolio, especially desired by lovers of brindled vulcanite and warm sandblasts.
