Dunhill: County Quaint Acorn (3) (2023) Tobacco Pipe
Product Number: 002-015-7663
Dunhill's Group 3 size is one that's quite versatile, spanning a wide range of dimensions, though still remaining somewhat compact in each of its iterations, and is ubiquitous in the English marque's shape chart. On the other hand, the Acorn is quite a bit more uncommon to see from them, the shape retaining a place on said shape chart, though each rendition is a rarity. This Quaint piece showcases the more whimsical side of Dunhill's artisans, combining the flexibility of the Group 3 size with the Acorn's natural curves, evident in its fairly compact size, plump, flaring bowl, and the shank's gradual flare from its pinched transition. The stem that meets the shank end is trim and makes a slight downturn from the bit, its cumberland matching well with the rustic County sandblast dressing the stummel.
Like the Cumberland finish, Dunhill's County line pairs rich, cumberland stems with delightfully textured sandblasts. Typically, County pieces wear a lighter stain, often falling between the Cumberland and Tanshell hues, and since its introduction in 1986, with only a brief hiatus, the County remains stalwart within Dunhill's portfolio, especially desired by lovers of brindled vulcanite and warm sandblasts.
