Eltang Basic: Rusticated Dark Poker Tobacco Pipe

Tom Eltang is a legendary Danish artisan whose work has inspired that of many others and whose portfolio includes a number of signature shapes. Among these is a sleek, utilitarian Poker which he calls the "smoking machine," which he used as the basis for the design that comprises the sole shape in his Basic line. It provides a low-cost entry point into his body of work and offers a practical and well-engineered workhorse smoking experience. As part of his Basic series, this Poker comes fitted with a nearly unbreakable carbon fiber shank and a black acrylic saddle stem, keeping the weight extremely light and allowing for easy clenching. The briar bowl is a forward-canting cylinder that sits sturdily on its heel and rises fairly high to afford a bit of extra chamber, its shape easy in the hand and iconic in style.
