Tom Eltang: Rusticated Poker with Bamboo

Product Number: 002-299-0371

Of all the shapes that Tom excels in creating (which, basically, is any shape ever conceived) why would this one be rarely absent from his person? For starters, while Tom is as careful and meticulous of a carver as a collector could hope for, away from the bench he's something of a jet-octane fueled force of nature, and whatever pipe is in his hand, finds itself along for the ride.

Sykes once observed "He also abuses them (his Pokers) mercilessly, though I suspect he's harder on his pipes around me [knocking them out on wrought iron gates, cement blocks, stray dogs, any passing stranger who sees fit to give off a faked cough, whatever] just because he likes watching me wince." If an 'on the go pipe' tends to be something of an extension of ourselves, it should be both practical (a sitter), easy to carry, and be able to take the occasional, unexpected knock without inducing a sudden urge to take our lives. This most popular of all Eltang pipes can handle that trifecta in spades, and still deliver one of the finest smokes out there. As an aside, pretty much every collector I work with who has purchased one of Tom's Pokers, soon is rarely seen without it. Makes sense to me.
