Tom Eltang: Smooth Eskimo
Product Number: 002-299-0914
Tom Eltang's personal evolution of Sixten Ivarsson's Ukulele, the Eskimo shape is a form that places emphasis on width and squatness, resulting in something of an arrow-straight, Saucer-like form. This interpretation seems especially crisp, making use of each succinct line to beautifully frame and divide one grain pattern from another. Flame and birdseye abounds of course, and the whole of it is a positive joy in hand, the slender, compressed form providing an awesome piece with which to fidget. Wonderful stuff.- Daniel Bumgardner
