Tom Eltang: Rusticated Poker with Bamboo Tobacco Pipe

Product Number: 002-299-1464

Mentored by the legendary Anne-Julie by the time he was 16, Tom Eltang is now considered one of the most influential pipe artisans in the world. Taking inspiration from the Functionalist school of design, many of Eltang's pipes combine function with flair, ensuring a pleasurable smoking experience and supplying the smoker with a pipe that's erogmatic. This Poker from Eltang is the perfect example of a structural yet beautifully crafted piece from the artisan. This Sitter is incredibly lightweight, making it an ideal choice for multitaskers and on-the-go smokers. Standing atop a flat heel, the bowl is canted forward, its cylindrical walls rising toward a rim that looks into a deep tobacco chamber. A broad transition gives way to a concise shank and thin accent band of vulcanite, the latter connecting to a lifted stretch of bamboo. Rising two knuckles high, the organic accent meets another band of vulcanite and a petite saddle stem. Eltang's signature rusticated finish can be seen dressing the bowl, save for the rim and heel, which are finished smooth for contrast.
