Erik Stokkebye 4th Generation: Pipe of the Year 2023 Smooth Brown Tobacco Pipe

Founded in 2012, Erik Stokkebye 4th Generation pays tribute to the family's long history as tobacconists at the shop named for Erik's father, Peter Stokkebye, by offering their own line of excellent pipe tobaccos and high-quality pipes to accompany them. Stokkebye's Pipe of the Year series sees the Danish marque partner with a new carver or workshop annually to craft limited edition pipes that represent the most premium of Stokkebye's offerings. For 2023 Stokkebye partnered with Belgian artisan Bruno Nuttens, creating a distinctive Billiard variant that displays a stout, straight-walled bowl that rests atop heel scalloped at the flanks, allowing the pipe to both sit and rock in place. Out back, a round shank is accented with a bright metallic band at its junction to a sleek saddle stem. This example is dressed in a rich mahogany finish, highlighting excellent grain patterns all around the bowl.
