Erik Stokkebye 4th Generation: 10th Anniversary Sandblasted Bent Dublin with Horn Tobacco Pipe
Product Number: 002-787-1733
Founded in 2012, Erik Stokkebye 4th Generation presents a variety of pipes across many finishes to accompany their portfolio of discerning pipe tobaccos, with both the blends and the pipes often named for significant dates in the Stokkebye family's history. This bent Dublin is no exception, and was crafted for the marque's 10th anniversary by French carver Bruno Nuttens, modeled after a signature design made for Erik's father Peter by W.Ø. Larsen in the 1990s. The result is a wonderfully balanced piece that maintains some of the dramatic proportions that Stokkebye pipes have become known for, though with a great deal of added slenderness for balance — as with many Larsen pieces. The bowl is the center of the visual weight, with a striking height and a deep chamber held within its walls, sitting here atop a pronounced, rounded heel with a gentle flare to its rim and a subtle forward cant. A wide transition gives way to a slim, sleek shank that lifts gently as it takes on an understated flare to a demurely curved stem of black acrylic. Elegant and classically Danish, this pipe's junction is marked with an accent of horn, contrasting the dark, grain defining sandblast that dresses the stummel.
