Flavia Rodriguez's shaping style, to my eye, can best be described as classics sporting a "soft, subtle sense of firmness." This Billiard, for example, boasts a good bit of solid shaping toward the heel in profile, emphasized by the neatly tucked transition and easy, proportionally slender tapered shank and stem combination. As for the finish, it's a vibrant, beautifully contrast-stained display of birdseye and cross grain, practically enveloping the Group 3-ish sized bowl. An awesome take on the ultimate classic.
