Flávia Rodrigues: Sandblasted Prince with Horn Tobacco Pipe

Quite possibly my personal favorite from this first batch of Flavia Rodriguez pipes, this Prince shape presents a playfully neat combination of shaping cues. The firm and solid, yet somewhat graceful bowl up front guides the form splendidly, leading the eye by way of a neatly-tucked transition to the creamy domed horn mount. Though sporting a standard tenon arrangement, rather than a push-style stem, the gentle arch of slender tapered stem makes for an excellent means of completing the refined silhouette. Finished in a dark, craggy sandblast, wide, stacked ring-grain climbs up all flanks, too. A comforting, attractive smoker from Flavia.
