Flávia Rodrigues: Sandblasted Poker with Jabuticaba Tobacco Pipe

A tall-bowled, strikingly crisp and firm-lined take on the Poker shape, this rendition of the characteristically utilitarian form is a rather bowl-centric one, balancing that visual weight with a long trail of shank and tapered stem. Flavia opted for a more subtle, understated sort of sandblast, though the treatment serves to brilliantly coax some gorgeous ring-grain, rippling across all flanks. Said texture is complemented by a warm, contrast-stained rim, and likewise with a jabuticaba accent at the shank's end, offering a touch of lightness, not to mention organic dynamism. Though only a firm sitter when stabilized on a flat surface by the tip of the bit, this is still quite cool.
