Flávia Rodrigues: Smooth Pot with Peroba Tobacco Pipe

Product Number: 002-839-0011

Flávia Rodrigues' work often looks to classic English and Danish shaping cues, taking traditional forms and elevating them with her expert engineering and exploring proportions in a harmonious way. Those aspects are readily apparent in this charming Pot from the Brazilian artisan, the broad bowl rife with elegant lines and graceful curves. Said bowl wears its waistline low from which tight tendrils of flame grain climb the flanks before meeting the softly rounded rim and the handsome array of birdseye that graces its surface. The shank end is adorned with a band of peroba wood, which is native to Brazil, and is the first time we've received a pipe from Rodrigues accented with the material. Not only does it continue her penchant for utilizing non-traditional accenting materials but it also adds even more visually engaging grain to an already impressive composition. The compact proportions of this piece are perfect for pocket carry while its spot on execution should appeal to the traditionalist in anyone.
