Now here's another gorgeous offering from pipe carver Alex Florov. Although many a pipe maker wishes he could channel his "inner-Ivarsson", Alex can summon that particular voice perhaps more readily and with greater stamina and fluency than any non-Ivarsson carver alive today. Part of that is his keen devotion to the physical history of hand made pipes, and an appreciator of the Danish classics; after all, Alex is a real pipe guy and he's got the collection of pipes and vintage tobaccos to prove it. The other component of the equation is that, as well as being a detail-oriented, meticulous perfectionist of a pipe maker (and it shows) Alex Florov is both student and master of the craft, as any true artist should be.
