A sweeping, artful, yet robustly proportioned rendition of the Volcano, this Alex Florov displays a dramatic presence. Counterpointing this, however, the finish is warm, dark, and subdued, though featuring a fine depth as well, and allowing the underlying brushes of flame grain to peek through. It also serves to invite you to look closer, something which is rewarded by revealing a fine ring grain brought out by a light, delicate sandblast.
