Former: Smooth Billiard with Silver Tobacco Pipe

It's the prefect pipe, and I find myself scrambling for words to describe it because I am smitten. Classic and with bold proportions, its rim provides the perfect traditional cant, its bowl is shaped to perfection, and the wide, round shank is so well proportioned that it's impossible not to find joy in just holding this piece up and examining its silhouette in profile.

The saddle stem is thin and flat, dominating little visual presence in comparison to the impressive stummel. The natural grain is remarkably consistent and vertical, matched by the vertical strands found along the sides of the shank, which is accented by a wide band of sterling silver for refined elegance. The contrast stain does a wonderful job illuminating that grain as it rises to the slightly inflated rim. Stout but retaining excellent classic character, with all the refinements that Former's 60+ years of experience can apply, it's a piece destined for preeminence in any pipe collection.
