Frank Axmacher: Sandblasted Tomato with Bamboo Tobacco Pipe
Product Number: 002-815-0017
Though one of the bolder, more muscular numbers we've seen from Frank Axmacher, this seemingly Danish-inspired Tomato shape also shows a sense of comforting substance coupled with a touch of streamlined energy. It's a fairly bowl-centric design, the soft-lined, stone-like form up front seeming to demand the majority of visual weight. The German artisan opted for a shank extension comprised of a single knuckle of honey-blonde bamboo, operating in excellent rhythm with the shape at large, and complemented by the arrow-straight saddle bit via a continuation of the bamboo's natural divot at the stem base. There's loads of squarely-proportioned chamber within, and altogether, it's a form sure to offer some satisfying smokes.
