Gabriele: Smooth Bent Egg with Boxwood (Snail) Tobacco Pipe

Product Number: 002-533-0028

Gabriele is heavily indebted to natural forms when comes to his design inspiration, and so it shouldn't be much of a surprise that the humble, common (quite literally garden-variety), yet intricate little snail serves as the namesake of one of his penultimate grade. Fittingly enough, this particular example of that rarefied grade presents us with a design where a soft, smooth bowl form and a gentle, curving arch stand as prominent elements, along with a long, slim ridge of natural plateau, the craggy outline of which, in profile, appears like a harder, protective component in relation to the gentle bowl and shank.

When it comes to the aspects of the graining, well, they're simply beautiful, as expected. Likewise, as this was apparently a design Gabriele was aprticularly proud of, this briar also comes in its own special presentation box.
