This bent Apple by Gabriele dal Fiume is a curvaceous and organic rendition of the classic shape, rendered in the Italian artisan's distinctive, Danish-influenced style. A plump bowl dominates the fore of the composition, featuring a chubby heel and tapered walls that culminate in a rippling, asymmetrical rim. Behind the cheeked transition, a rounded triangle shank curves smoothly upward into a domed shank face, fitted with a bent vulcanite saddle stem, perfect for clenching. Dressed in a rich walnut sandblast, the stummel boasts well-defined growth rings, handsomely contrasted by a smooth rim and shank face, both displaying fine swirls of birdseye.
