Geiger: Smooth Bohemian Dubliner
Product Number: 002-564-0030
Sara and Love Geiger's Dubliner renditions have exhibited some manner of jauntiness historically, with a firm, succinct heel well-defined in profile. Not so with this rendition, smoothly-flowing and gestural as it is, though it does exhibit the pipemaking duo's penchant for asymmetrical, organically-inclined forms. This is especially evident when viewed head-on, as the lively, broad mushroom cap-like rim ebbs gently to one side like the classic image of a Frenchman's beret. As a rule, the Geigers have a deft hand for accentuating the best in a given block of briar, and this fellow is particularly exquisite, with that aforementioned rim showcasing some of the most crystal-clear birdseye I've encountered, bolstered by ultra-tight flame on all flanks. Highly recommended.
