Geiger: Smooth Reverse Calabash Nautical Horn
Product Number: 002-564-0042
Rich in complexity, yet simultaneously as clean-lined and tightly-knit as can be, this Horn shape is seriously steeped in Sara and Love Geiger's artfully unique aesthetic. In profile, the form is defined by a tight and forward-inclined sense of curve, initiated by a ridge at the rounded, bulbous shank, the likes of which carry through to the foremost tip of flaring, trumpeting Dublin-esque bowl. Surrounding the bowl is an undulating beveled rim, which makes use of a crisp, structured sense of geometry to stylistically balance the rounded bulb of a shank. It's a reverse Calabash, with a spacious internal chamber housed within the shank, and the poised stem arrangement is secured by a brass inlay at the shank's end, the likes of which travel with the curved topography of the briar itself. Awesome work here.- Daniel Bumgardner
