The son of beloved American artisan Mark Tinsky, Glenn Tinsky continues his family's pipe-making tradition, incorporating the influence of his father's style with a touch of Danish cues to create his own unique aesthetic. Before becoming a full-time pipe maker, Glenn had a long career in the restaurant industry, where he developed a discerning stylistic sensibility that he's applied to pipe carving with impressive results. This bent Stack is a fine example of Glenn's style, which focuses on English and Italian shapes influenced by Danish conventions. The tall bowl features a slim upward taper, resting on a stout heel and at the fore of an abbreviated round shank fitted to sleek saddle stem with a cream-hued base accent. Dressed in rich, dusky, finish, the stummel boasts fine cross grain around the bowl's flanks, with swirling birdseye at the fore and aft.
