The son of beloved American artisan Mark Tinsky, Glenn Tinsky continues his family's pipe-making tradition, incorporating the influence of his father's style with a touch of Danish cues to create his own unique aesthetic. Before becoming a full-time pipe maker, Glenn had a long career in the restaurant industry, where he developed a discerning stylistic sensibility that he's applied to pipe carving with impressive results. This Rhodesian is an eye-catching reinvention of the classic shape, featuring a strongly canted bowl that bears a low-set beadline and slim upward taper atop a rounded heel. Out back, an abbreviated round shank is joined to a just-bent acrylic saddle stem, making this piece easy to clench thanks to its weight distribution. Dressed in a warm natural sandblast, the stummel boasts fine ring grain all around the bowl.
