The son of beloved American artisan Mark Tinsky, Glenn Tinsky continues his family's pipe-making tradition, incorporating the influence of his father's style with a touch of Danish cues to create his own unique aesthetic. Before becoming a full-time pipe maker, Glenn had a long career in the restaurant industry, where he developed a discerning stylistic sensibility that he's applied to pipe carving with impressive results. This paneled Pot is a robust piece, featuring a tall, thick-walled bowl with eight crisp facet and a flat heel, the last aspect allowing the pipe to sit sturdily upright at the fore of a paneled oval shank and an acrylic saddle stem. Dressed in a dark walnut rustication, the stummel offers plenty of texture for the fingers to explore, handsomely contrasted by a smooth rim.
