Peter Heding: Rusticated Duck's Foot with Boxwood (Silver)
Product Number: 002-362-0167
The Duck's Foot has become one of Peter Heding's signature shapes, having first been suggested to him as a pipe shape by one of his friends, a German farmer, who had a particular affection for water fowl. The shape bears a striking resemblance to the Elephant's Foot, although it is distinguished by its flatter bowl, the absence of panels, and the more pronounced taper at the bottom of the bowl. The shape is noteworthy both for its functionality and visual appeal. It fits perfectly in hand, while the wide open draw promises to deliver a flavorful smoke. The pipe also sits quite solidly — perfect for showing off its striking profile and its visual resemblance to its namesake.
