Coloring is one of the most attractive aspects of meerschaum pipes for many, though the way in which a regularly smoked meer colors normally can be uneven. To ensure an even patina all the way around, coloring bowls fit into the pipe's normal bowl, creating a seal and effectively making the bowl into a calabash's chamber — ensuring an even distribution of smoke and color. With IMP's hand-carved coloring bowls, you're sure to be able to find one that suits the style of your particular meer, as well. This particular one has been finished in a rugged rustication with a set of beadlines placed along its rim and base, offering some subtle contrast.
