The Horn is a gestural shape, with a forward cant and sleek profile that cascades through the bowl and shank. That remains true for this rendition from IMP, but this piece features prominent beadlines under the rim and across the shank end that emphasize the elegant curvature of the shape, each one book-ending the subtle taper of the design. The lightweight nature of the meerschaum can be felt in hand, the piece possessing a graceful, airy quality that lends itself well to fluidity of the shape. A black and white saddle stem of acrylic adds a dash of color to the crisp white of the stummel; its bulbous expansion rings offset it from the rest of stummel's curvaceousness.
