As a meerschaum pipe develops a patina with each bowl smoked, the darkening process isn't always even, but this coloring bowl from IMP will effectively distribute the smoke for more consistent coloration. A cork liner on the end is inserted into the pipe's chamber and tobacco is packed into the coloring bowl, basically turning the pipe into a sealed Calabash chamber. Aesthetically, this bulbous piece is adorned with two beadlines, providing a bit of textural intrigue as well.
