IMP Meerschaum: Two Pipe Set (with Case) Tobacco Pipe

Pipes from IMP are fashioned from high quality, solid-block meerschaum then hand-carved in stages by craftsmen. The acclaimed Turkish workshop creates both figural and classically inclined pieces from the pale, porous material, with loyal fans prizing meerschaum for its heat-resistant, flavor-neutral smoking properties and its alluring ability to darken with warm tones of patina as its smoked.

This rare, two-pipe set collection from IMP features classically inclined pieces, one of which is a broad-rimmed, muscular Rhodesian. Replete with the form's defining beadlines and sloping flanks, the bowl houses plenty of chamber depth and is paired to a gently rounded and upturned shank of equal stoutness. It's topped by a multi-colored saddle stem of acrylic, stylishly accented by expansion discs near the base, the orange, green and yellow hues of the mouthpiece contrasting the elegant silver band at the shank end.

The second offering in this collectible meerschaum set also is traditionally shaped and takes the form of a straight Billiard. The bowl in this rendering cants slightly forward and features a smooth, beveled rim. It's paired to a rounded shank of equal stoutness, with the shank end accented by a smooth, trim band. Otherwise, the stummel is wearing a texturally pleasing, craggy rustication. It's topped by a striking saddle stem of dazzling emerald hues, the design lent a crackling pattern for extra pizazz.
